Simple terms.

The short agreement for using hicir.org — written in plain language, like everything else here.

Effective August 7, 2026 · Applies to hicir.org

01What this site is for

hicir.org shares information about the Hawaiʻi Coalition for Immigrant Rights — our programs, campaigns, events, and ways to get involved. By using the site, you agree to these terms. If something here doesn’t work for you, the best next step is simply to talk with us.

02Information, not legal advice

We publish rights education and policy information in good faith, but nothing on this site is legal advice, and reading it doesn’t create an attorney–client relationship. Laws change and every situation is different — for advice about your own case, please talk to a qualified attorney or a trusted legal aid organization.

03Using our content

We want this information to travel. You’re welcome to share and reprint our educational materials for non-commercial community use with credit to HCIR. The HCIR, SODA, FOAM, and campaign logos and brand artwork stay ours (or our partners’) — please don’t reuse them without permission.

Photos and videos on this site may not be downloaded, copied, or reused. They show real community members and were shared with their trust — so the site does not offer media downloads, and we ask that you not capture them by other means. Watching and sharing a link to the page is always welcome; for any other use of a photo or video, write to info@hicir.org first. The Know Your Rights cards and our published reports remain free to download and share.

04Links to other places

The site links out to partners, registration pages, and services we don’t control. Their content and policies are their own — a link is not an endorsement of everything a site does.

05No warranties

We work hard to keep everything current and correct, but the site is provided “as is.” We can’t promise it will always be available, error-free, or up to the minute, and to the extent the law allows, HCIR isn’t liable for how the site or its information is used.

06These terms can change

If we update these terms, the new version appears on this page with a new effective date. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Hawaiʻi.
