Privacy, plainly.
How this site handles your information — written so you can actually read it. No cookies, no ads, and nothing about you is ever sold.
This site doesn't set a single cookie — which is why there's no cookie banner to click away.
Nothing you share here is ever sold, rented, or traded. Period.
We count visits in aggregate — we can't see who you are or follow you around the web.
One email to info@hicir.org and we remove anything you've shared with us.
01What you share with us
The only information we ask for is what you choose to type into a form. Both forms below go to a private spreadsheet (Google Sheets) that only coalition staff can open, and a notification may be sent to our staff inbox so we can get back to you.

We never add you to lists you didn't ask for, and we don't combine what you send with data from anywhere else.
02What we measure
We use Vercel Web Analytics to understand how the site is doing overall — which pages get visited, roughly where visitors come from (country level), and what kind of device they use. It works without cookies, the data is anonymized and aggregated, and it never follows you to other websites. We see numbers, not people.
hicir.org is hosted on Vercel. Like any web host, its servers process the technical requests your browser makes (including your IP address) to deliver pages and keep the site secure.
03What stays on your device
If you switch between light and dark mode, that choice is saved in your own browser (a small "hcir-theme" setting) so the site remembers it next time. It never leaves your device, and we can't see it. Our fonts and images are built into the site itself — no third-party font or ad service is ever called.
04Where links lead
Some links take you off hicir.org — Instagram, Zoom registration pages for our sessions, partner and conference sites, and our donation page. Donations are processed on Hawaiʻi Children's Action Network's secure platform, so we never see your card details. Once you leave hicir.org, the privacy policy of the site you land on applies.
05A note for our community
You never need to share your immigration status — yours or anyone else's — to use this website, contact us, or join our list. Please include only what you're comfortable sharing; a first name and an email address are always enough.
06Keeping it, sharing it, deleting it
We keep messages and signups only as long as they're useful for coalition work. We don't share your information outside the coalition team, and we would only disclose it if the law required us to. To unsubscribe or have anything removed, email info@hicir.org — we'll take care of it.
07Questions & changes
If anything here is unclear, talk story with the coalition or write to info@hicir.org. If this policy ever changes, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
